What are the symptoms of a vaginal yeast overgrowth?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The symptoms can be:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • White thick discharge similar to cottage cheese<\/li>
  • Itching and irritation in the vaginal area<\/li>
  • Redness and burning during urination<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Sometimes, some of these symptoms can appear in other conditions, if you are unsure about your symptoms or if they are not relieved with treatment, it is important that you contact your doctor or midwife to discuss your symptoms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Recurring vaginal yeast infection during pregnancy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Sometimes, regardless of the therapies prescribed, and due to the changed level of hormones, pregnant women will experience recurring vaginal yeast infections. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    A prebiotic therapy can offer some support for the vaginal flora, but in most cases can\u2019t deal with the infection on its own. If you find yourself in this situation, the only thing left to do is to relieve the symptoms, until after giving birth, and the hormones are back to \u201cnormal\u201d. This can be done by using over-the-counter sprays or gels which cool down the skin and stop the itching and burning sensation.
